conda env update --file environment.yml # Update env from .yml file

conda update environment from yml

$ conda activate earth-analytics-python
$ conda env update -f environment.yml

conda update with environment from yml file

conda env update --name myenv --file environment.yml --prune #--prune uninstalls dependencies which were removed from environment.yml
